Peter Pan in Scarlet

The only official sequel to J. M. Barrie's Peter and Wendy, authorised by Great Ormond Street Hospital, to whom Barrie granted all rights to the character and original writings in 1929. Geraldine McCaughrean was selected following a competition launched in 2004, in which novelists were invited to submit a sample chapter of their proposed sequel.
The book continues the story of the Lost Boys, the Darling family, and Peter Pan, in the wake of World War I.

In 2016, the New Vic Theatre and Oxford Playhouse collaborated to stage Peter Pan in Scarlet for it's world premiere. Thanks to the hard work of artistic directors Theresa Heskins and Louise Chantal, the show ran during the summer both in Newcastle-under-Lyme and Oxford.
